The
music for Flower of Life was originally titled “Little Sunflower”
and composed by world famous trumpeter Freddie Hubbard. Several years
ago I attended a workshop called “The Flower of Life” with spiritual
master teacher Drunvalo Melchizedeck in Malta and felt inspired to
write some lyrics to this lovely jazzy tune. With the approval of
the original composer and publisher the song was re-titled “Flower
of Life”. The lyrics are about seeds being sown in a secret garden.
The garden symbolic for the soul and the seeds representing the intention
of sowing and reaping forgiveness and unconditional love, The flower
then takes responsibility for its life and eventually fulfils its
purpose. And so the message is simple and yet powerful in its innocence
where the flower, symbolic for humanity, begins to live a good life.
